YOGA:
(For Kids/Youths
and Adults: The
name of the
discipline called
“Yoga”, comes
from the
“Sanskrit”
word “yuj”,
which means
“Yoke”,
“Link” and
“Join”. All
point to the goal
that is the
intrinsic unity of
the human being:
Body, Mind and
Spirit. Thru the
practice of this
discipline, the
participants will
have the
opportunity to
increase their
level of
relaxation,
improve
concentration and
mental clarity;
decrease physical
and emotional pain
and an enhancement
of the vital
functions, such
as, breathing.
A yogic
approach to life
can lead one to a
personal
reintegration that
can touch all
aspects of one’s
life: body,
breath, mind,
food, the behavior
of senses, habits,
society, and the
very environment
of the individual.
This activity will
meet the community
need for
activities that
will help
individuals to
reduce the
“stress”
caused by the high
demands of modern
society.
